Description: The Electric Stag is a mutated, hairless deer with large, leathery wings sprouting from its shoulder blades. The Electric Stag’s body is wracked with electrical energy that appears to flow, like blood, inside its thick, translucent skin. The wings cannot be used for flight but do serve a useful purpose.

Electric Stun: When the Electric Stag flaps its wings, an electrical charge is generated and will discharge when any living creature approaches within 20ft. Multiple creatures inside the 20ft. radius will cause the lightning to arc between them, forming a chain. Fortitude save or knocked prone for 1 round.

The Wretched Regions - Lore

(The High History of Fysik’s Totem)

In the mid to late 21st Century (as was reckoned by the Ancient Lurds), science discovered the holographic nature of the universe and began to experiment with hacking the construct of reality. In various laboratories around the world, humanity began to manipulate the particle coding from sub-space dimensions that projected form into the observable universe. New combinations of matter and energy were shown to be possible, but the applied technologies required to sustain stability were decades away. Some worried that experiments with the foundation of the universe could cause a catastrophe, but the energy required to permanently change the simulation matrix was beyond achievement and deemed to be a near-impossible risk. Unfortunately, the energy required for such a trigger came in the form of a Gamma Ray Burst.

A superluminous supernova bombarded Earth with intense directed energy that induced a surge within thousands of active experiments across the planet. The overloaded research systems ruptured the space-time continuum and exposed the World to massive energy storms from other dimensions. The building blocks of flora and fauna were damaged beyond repair; The atmosphere was scorched, causing tumultuous storms that tossed and deposited detritus thousands of miles away; The oceans partially evaporated, dropping the sea level over 3 miles! In addition to radiation poisoning, the matrix to filter reality was twisted and permanently deformed, projecting illogical and unnatural matter constructs into the physical reality.

The horror of those Cursed Times has been passed down by the survivors and diluted as myth and legend. Now, millennia later, the world has begun to stabilize, and new life forms compete against each other and the hostile environment, known as The Wretched Regions. We, the Keymasters, are all that remain of those who know from those who knew. As the last of us dies, the true history of the world is in danger of being lost forever. Thus, through the wisdom of Mashtur Fysik, we construct these crystal totems to record the knowledge of the Ancient Lurds. It is our belief that such relics will be revered by any society, allowing their preservation down the generations until technology develops to retrieve the information stored within.
